Bryan Marshall creates dark and whimsical renderings transmitting lost communications from the hazier reaches of childhood memory - reframing memoir in metaphor with a mixture of anxiety and optimism.

Most recently, Bryan’s work has shifted focus to capture the varying moods and aspects of beauty in coastal landscapes rendered in oil in larger scale formats on wood panel and hot press papers.

Bryan works in a vast range of mediums with a concentration on ink and paints including watercolour, acrylic and oil.

A combination of fine art, animation and digital media studies at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Kwantlen Polytechnic University and the Art Institute of Vancouver inform the distinct execution of Bryan’s unique style and themes.
